THE FIRST DECADE
The start of our hobby business. These wines were produced in my spare time in between doing Architectural work. An exciting period in our lives as our wines gained recognition and we grew production, discovering what worked and what didn’t. While the business grew so too our family with the arrival of our son, Nicholas, and daughter, Rosalyn, towards the end of the decade. We planted our Elevation 393 vineyard in 1994 and bought grapes from several Stellenbosch farms – two of whom we continue to work with.
We will dig deep in our private cellar to find some of these early gems to share and in addition we’ll have a few other producers who were leading the way in quality wine at the time to give some context to our wines.
